Summary

This internship assists the HR Systems team with daily functions to maintain employee data and system configurations in the company Human Resources Information System (HRIS). You will have the opportunity to learn about system record maintenance, data integrity auditing, system functionality/configurations, Cognos reporting and user security maintenance. This position will work closely with the HR Systems team to meet department daily functions and initiatives.

Minimum Requirements

Combination of Education and Experience will be considered. Must be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986. Must pass a Criminal Background Check.

Education: High School Diploma/GED

Education Details: Bachelor's degree recent graduate or currently pursuing degree. To be qualified to apply intern candidates should be currently enrolled in a college or university, or a recent graduate within the last six months with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

•Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (emphasis in Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

•Excellent communication skills.

•Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

•Strong attention to detail and organizational skills while being results and solution driven.

•Demonstrated positive and polished customer service demeanor to all internal and external customers.

•Demonstrated multi-tasking and self-organization capabilities within tight timelines.

•Effective at problem solving while recognizing when able to work an issue within working parameters and knows when to seek guidance.

Preferred Requirements

•Understanding of general Human Resources practices and processes.

•Understanding of systems/databases.

•Previous experience with Cognos or other reporting tools.

Job Duties

•Assisting Team Members with password resets and login troubleshooting.

•Auditing data integrity utilizing excel (vlookup, basic calculations).

•Running reports from Cognos.

•Participating in HR Systems related projects.

•Data validation and clean up.

•Assisting Team Members with general questions related to HR Systems.

•Processing Team Member related record changes in HRIS.

•Interfacing with teams to include but not limited to, Payroll, Employment Services, Talent Acquisition, Benefits and IT.

•Process onboarding of Contractors.

•Perform other HR Systems related tasks as assigned.

•Performs other duties and special projects as assigned by People Services management.

•Model Allegiant’s customer service standards in personal actions and when providing leadership direction.

Other relevant duties as assigned.

Office - While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, key board, printer, and phone. May be required to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 20 lbs. May be required to work various shifts/days in a 24-hour situation. Regular attendance is a requirement of the role. Exposure to moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones, printers, and foot traffic), temperature and light fluctuations. Ability to work in a confined area as well as the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time. Some travel may be a requirement of the role.
