Overview of the Role:

The Business Head for Spotify Advertising, Indonesia, will be a visionary and results-driven leader responsible for the strategic growth and overall financial performance of the Spotify advertising partnership business within Indonesia. This pivotal role involves maximizing revenue generation, leading local sales and operations, and cultivating high-level relationships with major advertisers, agency partners, and the regional Aleph & Spotify team. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of the digital audio and media landscape in Indonesia, exceptional commercial acumen, and proven team leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Business & Revenue Leadership

* P&L Ownership: Drive and manage the full profit and loss (P&L) for the Spotify advertising business in Indonesia, with a primary focus on achieving and exceeding ambitious sales and revenue targets.

* Market Strategy: Develop and execute a robust, localized sales strategy to effectively monetize Spotify's advertising inventory, grow market share, and establish Spotify as the leading audio advertising platform in Indonesia.

* Forecasting & Reporting: Provide accurate sales forecasting, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and deliver comprehensive business performance reports to Aleph and Spotify leadership.

2. Client and Partner Relationship Management

* Executive Stakeholder Management: Cultivate and maintain strong, high-level, and strategic relationships with key C-level executives at Spotify's regional teams, major local and global advertisers, and media/creative agency holding groups.

* Partnership Growth: Act as the primary local representative and expert for the Spotify partnership, ensuring alignment on commercial goals, product updates, and go-to-market strategies.

* Market Advocacy: Drive thought leadership and market education on the value of digital audio and Spotify’s advertising solutions within the Indonesian ecosystem.

3. Commercial Development & Innovation

* Sales Program Development: Conceptualize, champion, and implement innovative sales pitches, business cases, and advertiser programs that effectively demonstrate the ROI of Spotify Ads and accelerate client investment.

* Product Evangelism: Work closely with technical and product teams to translate new Spotify advertising products (e.g., dynamic ad insertion, advanced targeting) into compelling commercial opportunities for the local market.

* Big Deal Closure: Lead negotiations and secure major, strategic advertising deals with top-tier brands and agencies.

4. Team Management and Operational Excellence

* Team Leadership: Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing sales, client solutions, and operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and sales excellence.

* Operational Efficiency: Oversee the operational workflow, including media sales, payments, billing, and creative support, ensuring seamless service delivery and adherence to all global and local compliance standards.

* Performance Management: Establish clear team objectives, conduct regular performance reviews, and ensure the team is leveraging Aleph’s proprietary technology and services to achieve optimum results.

Qualifications & Experience:

* Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field; a master’s degree is a plus.

* Experience: Minimum of 8+ years of progressive experience in digital media, advertising sales, or business development, with at least 3-5 years in a senior leadership or Head of Business/Sales role, preferably within a global technology or media company.

* Local Market Expertise: Deep, verifiable experience and a strong network within the Indonesian media, advertising, and agency landscape.

* Commercial Acumen: Proven track record of managing a significant P&L, consistently exceeding sales quotas, and driving strategic partnerships.

* Leadership Skills: Exceptional ability to lead, inspire, and develop a multidisciplinary team.

* Communication: Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia, with outstanding presentation, negotiation, and cross-cultural communication skills.
