About AKKO
AKKO is seeking a Senior Back-End Engineer to join our engineering team. This remote-friendly role is based in Bangalore, India (Remote).
What you'll do
- Design and implement scalable backend services
- Build, maintain, and evolve APIs used by front-end and other services
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system architecture and drive improvements
- Contribute to code reviews, testing strategies, and software quality
- Mentor junior engineers and help establish best practices
- Ensure performance, reliability, security, and scalability of systems
- Participate in CI/CD workflows and deployment processes
What we’re looking for
- 5+ years of backend development experience
- Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, database design, and cloud platforms
- Experience with at least one of Python, Go, or Node.js
- Proficiency with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL)
- Familiarity with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills
