Own end-to-end delivery on Airwallex’s microservice framework: design, testing, deployment.
Build high-concurrency, distributed services with low latency and high throughput.
Collaborate with senior engineers to define APIs and service boundaries.
Explore graph/streaming/ML/LLM tech for risk needs.
Mentor engineers and participate in on-call incident response.

🎯 Requirements

5+ years in Java/Kotlin backend for internet-scale apps, large financial or e-commerce platforms.
3+ years building risk or payment platforms.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent).
Strong knowledge of Java ecosystem: concurrency, high-throughput IO, networking.
Distributed systems design: concurrency, load, availability, resilience.
Experience with Spring/Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and Gradle/Maven; JSON.
