About the position

The Chief of Staff (CoS) will be a key enabler of the CEO, ensuring operational efficiency, alignment, and execution across the organization. This role requires a hands-on leader who thrives in complexity, builds processes from first principles, and leverages AI and automation to enhance efficiency. The CoS will oversee planning, accountability, and strategic execution, holding a deep understanding of Airtm’s platform from both an operational and financial perspective. This role serves as a stepping stone to a future Chief Operating Officer (COO) position.

Ideal candidates

Ideal candidates are former top-tier consultants (McKinsey, BCG, Bain, or similar) or experienced product managers with exceptional problem-solving skills, a strong operational mindset, and the ability to simplify complexity into actionable strategies. An MBA is preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic & Operational Leadership: Partner with the CEO to execute high-priority initiatives and ensure cross-functional alignment.
  • Develop and refine internal processes, driving accountability and efficiency at all levels.
  • Manage planning cycles, track execution, and enforce strategic discipline across the leadership team.
  • AI-Driven Process Optimization: Naturally drawn to and experienced with AI, staying current with the latest tools and trends including autonomous agents, DeepResearch, Replit, and related platforms.
  • Implement automation to streamline CEO functions and broader organizational processes.
  • Optimize workflows using AI and data-driven insights to enhance operational performance.
  • Platform & Financial Oversight: Build and maintain a deep understanding of Airtm’s platform, ensuring operational and financial sustainability.
  • Continuously assess which areas of the platform require the most support and dive into the core of the issue to solve it autonomously.
  • Align strategic execution with financial goals, working closely with the CFO on resource allocation and business optimization.
  • Scaling & Growth Enablement: Structure Airtm for scalability, ensuring processes and execution frameworks can support rapid growth.

Key Qualifications

  • 7-12 years in strategy, operations, product management, or consulting (e.g., McKinsey, BCG, Bain, or similar) with leadership experience in high-growth environments.
  • Proven ability to simplify complex problems, build perspectives from scratch, and execute effectively.
  • Proficiency in SQL, statistics, and financial modeling to drive data-informed decision-making.
  • Strong process optimization and AI-driven automation expertise.
  • Highly analytical, adaptable, and execution-focused, with a bias for hands-on problem-solving.
  • Passion for Airtm’s mission and financial empowerment in emerging markets.
