Airtable is hiring a Software Engineer, Data to help build and scale our data platform. As part of the data engineering team, you will design data models, develop ingestion pipelines, and enable reliable analytics across the product. You will collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and product teams to turn raw data into actionable insights.
Role overview
Title: Software Engineer, Data. Location: San Francisco, CA. This role focuses on designing and implementing data systems to support Airtable's analytics and product workflows.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain data ingestion pipelines and data models that power analytics and product features.
- Improve data quality, reliability, and governance across platforms.
- Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to enable data-driven decision-making.
- Scale data infrastructure to handle growing data volumes and workloads.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or a related field.
- 3+ years of software or data engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS or GCP) and distributed data processing (e.g., Spark, BigQuery).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
