Airtable is looking for an Engineering Manager, Security to lead the security engineering team and help protect Airtable’s platform and customers. This role combines people leadership with hands-on security program management in a fast-paced, product-driven environment.

Role Overview

• Lead and grow a team of security engineers focused on building secure software and platforms.
• Define and drive the security roadmap, risk management, and incident response plans.
• Partner with product, platform, and infrastructure teams to design secure-by-default systems.
• Establish security reviews, threat modelling, vulnerability management, and compliance programs (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001).
• Mentor engineers, hire top talent, and foster a culture of security excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead security engineering projects and initiatives with clear milestones and outcomes.
• Coordinate cross-functional efforts to implement secure architectures and practices.
• Develop security metrics and reporting for leadership and stakeholders.
• Oversee third-party risk management and vendor security assessments.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Deep expertise in secure software development lifecycle, threat modelling, and incident response.
• Experience with cloud security, identity and access management, network security, and monitoring.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
