Airframe Design Lead, Wing

📋 Description

• Lead the development of major structural airframe assemblies from concept to certification
• Apply load-paths knowledge and hand calcs to robust structures
• Apply design-for-manufacturing concepts for cost-effective, fabricable designs
• Develop company standards for composite and metallic CAD models and drawings
• Mentor engineers on design, stress and M&P teams
• Provide technical guidance on design concepts (risk, cost, performance)

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years in lightweight structures (aircraft/spacecraft)
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• Deep understanding of load paths and laminate design
• CAD skills: Catia (preferred), NX, SolidWorks, Creo
• Experience with large bonded structures
• Sandwich construction experience
• Hand laid prepreg carbon fiber experience
• Knowledge of FAA Part 23 certification
