- Design and integrate cargo and passenger interior systems guided by aircraft architecture and mission requirements
- Lead interior components design (panels, liners, seating, cargo restraints, storage, lighting, UI)
- Ensure ergonomic, human‑factors, and aesthetic standards for utility and passenger missions
- Develop and maintain CAD models, drawings, and GD&T with tolerance analysis
- Collaborate with manufacturing, certification, and quality to ensure manufacturability and FAA compliance
- Lead cross‑functional design reviews and support prototype builds and user evaluations
🎯 Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial design, or related field
- 7+ years in aircraft/interiors or regulated product development
- Led interior design projects from concept to production
- Strong understanding of ergonomics and human‑factors engineering
- Experience with interior materials: composites, thermoformed plastics, textiles, foams
- Familiarity with FAA interior certification requirements (flammability, safety)
