📋 Description

  • Design and integrate cargo and passenger interior systems guided by aircraft architecture and mission requirements
  • Lead interior components design (panels, liners, seating, cargo restraints, storage, lighting, UI)
  • Ensure ergonomic, human‑factors, and aesthetic standards for utility and passenger missions
  • Develop and maintain CAD models, drawings, and GD&T with tolerance analysis
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, certification, and quality to ensure manufacturability and FAA compliance
  • Lead cross‑functional design reviews and support prototype builds and user evaluations

🎯 Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial design, or related field
  • 7+ years in aircraft/interiors or regulated product development
  • Led interior design projects from concept to production
  • Strong understanding of ergonomics and human‑factors engineering
  • Experience with interior materials: composites, thermoformed plastics, textiles, foams
  • Familiarity with FAA interior certification requirements (flammability, safety)
