Role overview

We are seeking a Solutions Architect to help customers design and implement data integration solutions using Airbyte. You will translate business requirements into robust technical architectures, guide deployments, and ensure successful outcomes for customer engagements.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers to understand data integration needs and translate them into scalable architectures.
• Design end-to-end data pipelines using Airbyte connectors, APIs, ETL/ELT patterns, and cloud services.
• Lead technical discovery sessions, product demos, proofs of concept, and pilots.
• Create architecture diagrams, data models, and integration specifications for customer solutions.
• Work cross-functionally with Sales, Solutions Engineering, and Engineering teams to scope projects and ensure successful implementations.
• Provide best-practice guidance on performance, reliability, and maintainability of data integrations.
• Contribute to technical documentation, knowledge base, and customer-facing content.
• Travel to customer sites or remote engagements as needed.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in solutions architecture, data integration, or data engineering.
• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT, data pipelines, APIs, streaming, and batch processing.
• Experience with data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Proficiency in SQL; familiarity with Python or other scripting languages is a plus.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with a customer-facing mindset.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Experience with open-source data integration platforms and Airbyte connectors.
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices and modern data stack tooling.
