Senior Lead, Corporate and Policy Communications, LATAM (São Paulo, Brazil)

Airbnb is seeking a Senior Lead in LATAM to spearhead corporate and policy communications for the region. This remote role is based in São Paulo, Brazil, and will coordinate cross-functional programs to protect and promote Airbnb's reputation while navigating regulatory developments in Latin America.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development and execution of LATAM corporate and policy communications strategies.
  • Collaborate with Government Relations, Legal, Policy, Communications, and Market teams to shape messaging on regulatory topics.
  • Draft press releases, talking points, blogs, executive communications, and internal communications.
  • Manage relationships with media, journalists, and external partners; monitor and respond to media inquiries.
  • Advise executives on communications strategy for product launches, policy changes, and crisis situations.
  • Monitor regulatory developments in Brazil and across LATAM; translate policy insights into compelling public communications.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment and project management to meet deadlines.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in corporate communications, public policy, or government affairs in LATAM, preferably in a high-growth tech or travel-related company.
  • Excellent writing, editing, storytelling, and communications project management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a remote, cross-time-zone environment.
  • Experience with media relations and crisis communications; ability to build relationships with journalists and policy stakeholders.
  • Fluency in Portuguese and English; knowledge of Spanish is a plus.
