Regional Public Policy Director, Latin America

📋 Description

• Collaborate with global leadership and regional partners to execute Airbnb’s regulatory, legislative and public policy strategies in LATAM.
• Conceptualize, manage and operationalize political and lobbying campaigns ranging from small to multi-million dollar, multi-year efforts across LATAM.
• Lead and develop a team of public policy professionals across jurisdictions in the region; manage budgets and resources.
• Engage regulators and other stakeholders, negotiate language for legislation, draft regulatory comments, and publish issue briefs and position papers.
• Represent Airbnb in coalitions to advance advocacy initiatives; build trust with internal and external stakeholders.
• Monitor legislation and regulatory matters in the region and brief executives on policy developments affecting operations.

🎯 Requirements

• Degree or advanced degree in Political Science, Communications, Law, Public Relations, or related field.
• Broad policy experience in internet, tourism sector regulations, housing or landlord/tenant law.
• Knowledge of the political and regulatory environments across Latin America and the Caribbean.
• At least 15 years of experience in politics, government, regulator, or relevant field.
• Strong leadership and management abilities and excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently and in teams; adapt to a fast-moving, multi-project environment.
