Airbnb's mission is to help everyone belong anywhere, and we are looking for a Consumer Communications Manager for Italy and the SEE region to help shape how we communicate with guests, hosts, and the public from our Milan-based team.

The Role

As the Consumer Communications Manager for Italy & SEE, you will own the development and execution of consumer-facing communications strategies across the region. You will partner with Marketing, Product, Legal & Compliance, and regional leads to ensure consistent brand voice, clear messaging, and timely communications that build trust and support growth. This is a hybrid role based in Milan, Italy.

Responsibilities

• Lead and localize consumer communications across channels (email, in-app, push, social, and public relations) for Italy and the SEE region.
• Develop messaging frameworks for product launches, promotions, and policy updates; protect Airbnb's brand voice and values.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan content calendars, crisis communications, and customer support messaging.
• Manage relationships with media and key stakeholders; monitor coverage and measure impact with clear KPIs.
• Ensure regulatory and GDPR compliance in all communications; adapt messaging to local markets while maintaining global standards.
• Analyze audience insights and performance data to optimize communications strategies.

Qualifications

• 5-8+ years of experience in consumer communications, PR, or related fields.
• Fluent in Italian and English; strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience supporting communications in Italy and SEE markets; deep understanding of local media landscapes.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment (Milan-based) and collaborate across cross-functional teams.
• Strong project management, stakeholder management, and data-driven decision-making skills.
