AI Business Automation Engineer

📋 Description

• Partner with functional SMEs to map processes and co-design AI-first reinventions.
• Translate requirements into specs, diagrams, and delivery plans; build end-to-end.
• Prototype rapidly using Python and AI tooling (LLM APIs, RAG, agent frameworks) to validate ideas.
• Build and maintain integrations between Box core systems using APIs, iPaaS, and custom services.
• Design and implement automations that retire manual work and replace brittle scripts.
• Own the data plumbing — pipelines, models, and access patterns for trustworthy AI.

🎯 Requirements

• 2-3+ years of hands-on engineering experience shipping production code.
• Deep experience with agentic coding platforms like Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex, plus MCP servers/CLIs.
• Python proficiency; knowledge of Go/TypeScript/Java; write clean, tested code and contribute to production codebase.
• Ability to translate business problems into design docs and specs; present to non-technical partners.
• Knowledge across cloud infra (GCP preferred) and data engineering (SQL, warehouses, pipelines); REST/GraphQL/webhooks; iPaaS like Workato/SnapLogic; automation tooling; IAM.
• Security fundamentals — authn/authz, encryption, secrets handling; audit readiness.
• Hands-on AI with LLM APIs, prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation; experience with AI-driven workflows and agent frameworks (LangGraph, OpenAI Agent SDK, Claude Agent SDK) and MCP.
• Strong product instincts and ability to ship; write clear specs/docs and explain tech decisions.
