Compensation: USD $3,000 - $4,500 (salary based on assessment)

We are a small, tight-knit, and fast-paced team committed to seeking justice for our clients and holding perpetrators accountable.
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and meticulous Research Attorney to join our team and provide essential support in ongoing litigation. This role is crucial for our day-to-day operations and will involve working directly with the firm's partners on cases across the country. You will be responsible for conducting in-depth legal research, drafting critical documents, and managing the discovery process to build our cases. This is an ideal role for an attorney who thrives on complex legal challenges and has a passion for our mission.
Conduct in-depth legal research on U.S. law, including statutes, case law, and regulations, using standard platforms to support ongoing cases and litigation strategy.
Draft and prepare legal documents, including internal memoranda and external correspondence.
Manage written discovery, which includes drafting questions, requests for documents, and requests for admissions, and responding to those from opposing counsel.
Analyze and synthesize evidence and case materials to identify key legal issues and support our allegations.
Collaborate with senior attorneys and co-counsel teams to prepare for trials and depositions.
Identify and analyze new legal precedents, legislation, and case law that may impact our current cases.
Must have:
Law degree from a prestigious university in Argentina.
Proven experience working on U.S. legal cases, particularly with U.S. law firms.
Minimum 3 years of experience in similar roles, demonstrated expertise in legal research and writing, with a solid portfolio of work.
Experience in litigation, particularly personal injury law or or sexual assault/trafficking cases.
Ability to handle cases and subject matter involving very heavy and sensitive issues (e.g., sexual assault, child abuse, human trafficking, etc)
Exceptional analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Proficiency with legal research platforms (Westlaw, Lexis), Microsoft Office Suite, and remote collaboration tools (Teams, Zoom, WhatsApp).
Ability to work independently and manage a dynamic workload, including potential after-hours or weekend work during trials or urgent situations.
A resourceful mindset with the ability to navigate the fast-paced, demanding nature of litigation.
Nice to have:
Expertise in California law, particularly with its procedural rules, is a significant plus.
Prior experience with the types of cases mentioned above
Trauma-informed (sensitivity and awareness when handling material involving trauma and abuse)
