About Our Client
Our client is a Germany-based information security consulting firm currently expanding its software capabilities. They specialize in helping companies prepare for information security certifications and are now building an internal platform to streamline consulting workflows and enhance client experiences.
About the Role
Our client is looking for a Full Stack Engineer to join their remote team as the first dedicated software developer. You'll work directly with the founder (a software engineer by background) to design, build, and launch a greenfield web application tailored for both internal consultants and external clients.
This is a unique opportunity to take full ownership of a core product and help shape its technical direction from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain a full stack web application (JavaScript/React frontend, Supabase backend — open to other tech choices).
- Integrate AI tools (e.g., OpenAI) for document generation and developer productivity.
- Collaborate with the founder and consulting team to gather requirements and iterate on features.
- Ensure the platform is scalable, secure, and user-friendly.
- Propose and implement technical solutions with autonomy.
- Drive the full software development lifecycle — from concept to deployment.
What We’re Looking For
- 4+ years of experience as a full stack engineer with strong frontend (JavaScript/React) and backend skills.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or similar).
- Familiarity with AI-enhanced dev tools (e.g., Cursor, Copilot, Cody) and eagerness to use modern workflows.
- Ability to work independently and take full ownership of projects.
- Excellent communication skills in a remote, distributed environment.
- A track record of building and launching applications from scratch.
- Bonus: Experience in information security, consulting, or working with European clients.
