Invisible Agency is seeking a Synthetic Biology Specialist - AI Trainer to lead the integration of AI in synthetic biology initiatives. This role combines cutting-edge biological design with machine learning to innovate and optimize biological workflows. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate biological questions into AI tasks and drive projects from concept to deployment.

Responsibilities

• Design and train AI models to assist with synthetic biology design, optimization, and decision-making processes.
• Curate and generate high-quality datasets for model training, validation, and benchmarking.
• Collaborate with wet-lab and computational teams to translate biological problems into ML tasks and vice versa.
• Evaluate model performance, interpret results, and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
• Build and maintain data pipelines and ML workflows that support rapid experimentation and iteration.
• Communicate findings clearly to cross-functional teams and contribute to product roadmap discussions.

Requirements

• Advanced degree (PhD or MSc) in synthetic biology, bioengineering, biotechnology, computer science, or a related field.
• Experience applying AI/ML techniques to biology-focused problems (e.g., sequence design, pathway optimization, or protein design).
• Proficiency in Python and experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Strong data handling, statistical analysis, and experimental design skills.
• Excellent collaboration and communication abilities; comfortable working with distributed teams and remote environments.
• Familiarity with wet-lab workflows and modern biotechnology concepts is a plus.
