The Structural Engineering Specialist - AI Trainer will combine structural engineering expertise with AI model development to build and validate machine learning systems that augment design and analysis workflows.

Role Overview

You will collaborate with ML engineers, data scientists, and product teams to shape AI‑enabled engineering tools and ensure robust real‑world performance.

Responsibilities

Design and curate datasets for training structural‑engineering AI models.
Train and evaluate AI systems to predict structural performance, safety margins, and failure modes.
Collaborate with engineers to translate design requirements into ML workflows.
Develop data pipelines for preprocessing, labeling, and quality checks.
Document processes and share knowledge across teams.
Contribute to the evaluation of AI‑powered design optimization tools.

Requirements

Strong background in structural engineering (civil/mechanical) with familiarity with finite element analysis (FEA) and/or structural dynamics.
Experience with machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) and Python.
Familiarity with data processing, version control, and technical documentation.
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts across cross‑functional teams.
Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
Prior AI training or model integration experience is a plus.
