About the role

As a Plant Viruses Specialist - AI Trainer, you will curate virus-related datasets, annotate data for training, build and evaluate machine learning models, and collaborate with bioscience and data teams to translate findings into practical tools for researchers and industry partners.

Responsibilities

  • Curate and preprocess plant virus datasets for ML training
  • Train, validate, and iterate AI models using frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
  • Collaborate with plant pathology and bioinformatics teams to ensure biological relevance
  • Document methodologies and provide guidance for model deployment

Qualifications

  • Strong experience with Python and ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch)
  • Background in bioinformatics, genomics, or plant pathology is a plus
  • Ability to communicate complex results to non-technical stakeholders
