Role Overview

As a Biology Specialist - AI Trainer, you will design and curate biological data for AI model training, collaborate with data scientists to translate biology knowledge into model features, and help improve model accuracy for biology-related tasks. This role is fully remote and suitable for candidates worldwide who are excited to work at the intersection of biology and artificial intelligence.

Responsibilities

• Design, curate, and preprocess biology datasets for AI model training
• Collaborate with data scientists to translate biology knowledge into model features
• Develop and evaluate training pipelines for AI models
• Create and maintain documentation and guidelines for data annotation, labeling, and dataset versioning
• Validate model outputs against biological domain knowledge and constraints
• Support deployment and monitoring of AI models in biology-focused contexts
• Stay updated on biology research and AI/ML trends

Requirements

• Degree in Biology, Bioinformatics, or a related field (advanced degree preferred)
• Experience with AI/ML concepts, data annotation, and supervised learning
• Proficiency in Python and data processing libraries (Pandas, NumPy); comfortable with Jupyter
• Familiarity with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) is a plus
• Strong communication skills and ability to translate biology concepts to machine learning context
• Ability to work remotely and collaborate with distributed teams
• Bonus: experience with genomics, NLP, or data annotation tools
