Responsibilities

Collaborate with data science and product teams to curate and annotate Basque language data for training language models and AI systems.
Develop and maintain high-quality language datasets, guidelines, and evaluation metrics.
Assist in building and validating Basque language models, including evaluation and error analysis.
Provide linguistic expertise on Basque grammar, syntax, and semantics to improve model performance.
Communicate findings, document processes, and contribute to best-practice workflows.

Requirements

Native or near-native Basque proficiency with excellent written and spoken skills.
Strong interest in AI, NLP, language data annotation, and machine learning.
Experience with data labeling, quality assurance, and data governance.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment and collaborate across time zones.
Good communication skills and attention to detail.

Nice to have

Familiarity with Python or data science tooling.
Experience with multilingual NLP projects or language model evaluation.
