Role Overview

Analytical Chemistry Specialist - AI Trainer will apply chemistry expertise to develop, train, and validate AI models that support analytical workflows. You will design experiments, curate datasets, annotate data, collaborate with data scientists, and help deploy AI tools for chemical analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and train AI/ML models for analytical chemistry tasks.
  • Curate and annotate high-quality chemical data sets to support model training and validation.
  • Design experiments and validation protocols to ensure model accuracy and robustness.
  • Optimize analytical workflows and instrument integration with AI solutions.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and laboratory teams to deploy AI-powered tools.
  • Interpret and communicate model outputs to stakeholders; document methodologies for reproducibility.
  • Maintain compliance with safety, data governance, and quality standards.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to the development of data pipelines.

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of analytical techniques (e.g., chromatography, spectroscopy, mass spectrometry) and data interpretation.
  • Experience with AI/ML tooling and data handling (e.g., Python, scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow) is a plus.
  • Experience with data labeling/annotation and building datasets for model training.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a remote, globally distributed team.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience preferred.
