Overview
Affirm is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Comms Platform) to join the Engineering team. This fully remote role is based in Europe (Remote Spain). You will contribute to building and scaling the Communications Platform that powers Affirm's messaging and notification systems.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, and maintain backend services for the Comms Platform.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Europe to deliver robust APIs and services.
- Ensure reliability, scalability, and security of messaging infrastructure.
- Participate in code reviews and architectural decisions.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Strong backend development experience in distributed systems and microservices.
- Experience with APIs, real-time messaging, and high-traffic services.
- Proficiency in at least one backend language (Go, Python, Java, etc.) and modern software engineering practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
