About the role
Affirm is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer In Test (Test infra) to design, build, and maintain scalable test infrastructure and automation to support Affirm's software platform. You will develop automated tests, test harnesses, and CI/CD integration; collaborate with product and engineering teams to improve test coverage, reliability, and deployment velocity; contribute to the evolution of testing strategies and tooling in a fast-paced fintech environment.
What you'll do
- Design, implement, and maintain automated test frameworks and test infrastructure
- Write high-quality automated tests and harnesses to validate software across platforms
- Integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines and release processes
- Collaborate with engineers to improve test coverage, reliability, and performance
- Mentor teammates and promote best practices in testing and quality assurance
What we're looking for
- 5+ years of software development or SDET experience
- Strong programming skills in Python and/or Java (Go or other languages a plus)
- Experience with test automation frameworks, Linux environments, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with CI/CD systems and test data management
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
