Senior Manager, Compliance at Affirm

Affirm is seeking a Senior Manager, Compliance to lead and scale our regulatory compliance program for remote operations in the United Kingdom and Europe. In this role you will partner with product, engineering, legal, and operations to design and implement policies, monitor evolving regulations, and manage compliance risks for Affirm’s fintech products.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and grow the Compliance team responsible for regulatory programs across Europe and the UK.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures to meet UK GDPR, FCA, and other applicable regulations.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and translate them into actionable controls, training, and governance processes.
  • Partner with product, engineering, legal, privacy, and risk management teams to embed compliance by design.
  • Oversee risk assessments, third-party due diligence, and vendor management.
  • Provide pragmatic guidance to senior leadership and stakeholders on regulatory implications and remediation plans.
  • Build and deliver ongoing training and awareness programs for cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in regulatory compliance within fintech or financial services.
  • Strong knowledge of UK GDPR, FCA rules, PSD2, AML/CFT, and cross-border regulatory considerations.
  • Proven track record of building scalable compliance programs and governance frameworks.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical controls and processes.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, remote-first environment with multinational teams.

Nice to have

  • Experience with data privacy, information security, and data governance programs.
  • Regulatory reporting experience and exposure to internal audit interactions.
