About Affirm

Affirm is seeking a Senior Director, Partner Business Development to lead the company's global partner strategy and drive revenue growth through strategic alliances. In this remote-first role, you will own the partnership lifecycle—from target identification and deal negotiation to go-to-market execution—working closely with product, sales, marketing, legal, and finance teams to accelerate Affirm's growth in North America and beyond.

Role Overview

This senior leadership position requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record of building and scaling partner ecosystems, particularly in fintech/payments. You will recruit, negotiate, and manage strategic partnerships, define joint value propositions, and influence cross-functional roadmaps.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute Affirm's partner strategy and identify high-impact alliances
  • Lead negotiation and deal structuring for strategic partnerships
  • Build and manage the partner ecosystem across fintechs, financial institutions, and technology partners
  • Develop joint go-to-market plans with partners and align sales and product roadmaps
  • Collaborate across functions to scale revenue, ensure compliance, and manage partner performance
  • Represent Affirm in partner communities and industry events
  • Mentor and develop a high-performing partnerships team as needed

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years in business development, partnerships, or strategic alliances, preferably in fintech/payments
  • Proven track record of revenue growth through partnerships
  • Exceptional negotiation, relationship-management, and influencing skills
  • Strong strategic thinker with the ability to operate cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
  • Prior leadership experience and ability to build and motivate a team
  • Bachelor's degree; MBA preferred

Nice to Have

  • Experience with consumer fintech and digital payments
  • Familiarity with platform ecosystems and developer partnerships

Location & Availability

Remote (US-based) within North America. Willingness to travel as needed.
