Role Overview

The Key Accounts Account Executive II will own the end-to-end sales cycle for a portfolio of strategic, high-value merchant partners. You will drive revenue growth, expand relationships, and partner cross-functionally with product, risk, and partnerships teams to deliver compelling merchant outcomes. This is a remote-first role compatible with candidates located in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive account plans for defined key accounts to drive revenue and merchant value
  • Manage the full sales lifecycle from prospecting to closing for enterprise-level partnerships
  • Strengthen relationships with senior merchant stakeholders and expand Affirm’s footprint within each account
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Risk, Product, Marketing, and Partnerships to execute on joint plans
  • Forecast accurately in CRM, track performance against quota, and report on progress
  • Negotiate terms and structure deals that balance merchant value with Affirm risk controls
  • Travel as needed to meet with partners and close strategic opportunities

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of enterprise sales or key account management experience, preferably in fintech, payments, or related industries
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas with strategic, multi-year contracts
  • Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills with C-level and VP-level stakeholders
  • Experience selling to large merchant partners and managing complex, cross-functional deals
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and sales forecasting
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
