Role Overview

The Finance/Credit Model Risk Manager will own risk assessment, validation, and governance of key credit and financial models. You will collaborate with risk, finance, and product teams to ensure models perform as intended and comply with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end model risk validation for credit and financial models.
Design and execute validation plans, backtests, and governance artifacts.
Partner with data scientists, engineers, and product stakeholders to remediate model risk issues.
Monitor ongoing model performance and trigger remediation or model retirement as needed.
Communicate findings and risk implications to senior leadership and regulators as required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science).
5+ years of experience in model risk management or credit risk modeling.
Hands-on experience with Python and SQL; strong statistical modeling skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with ability to influence across teams.
