Affirm is seeking an Analyst II, Credit Risk - Portfolio Monitoring and Direct to Consumer to join its Risk organization. This role is focused on monitoring and mitigating credit risk for Affirm's Direct-to-Consumer lending portfolio and supporting risk governance.
Overview
As an Analyst II in Credit Risk, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to monitor portfolio performance, identify emerging risk trends, and help optimize risk-adjusted returns while maintaining a strong customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Monitor credit risk across Affirm's Direct-to-Consumer lending portfolio and overall risk exposure.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and metrics to track portfolio performance, delinquencies, defaults, and recoveries.
- Analyze trends in portfolio performance and provide actionable insights to inform risk controls and product decisions.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Data teams to implement risk controls, automation, and reporting.
- Support risk governance, regulatory reporting, and internal policy adherence.
- Identify opportunities to optimize risk-adjusted returns while maintaining customer experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in credit risk, data analytics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python (or R) for data extraction and analysis; experience with data visualization tools is a plus.
- Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills; ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
Nice-to-have
- Experience in credit risk modeling, machine learning, or experimentation.
- Familiarity with credit risk frameworks and regulatory requirements.
