The Role: Senior Product Manager, Protect

Adyen’s Protect solution is at the forefront of enabling sustainable growth for our merchants by intelligently adapting to evolving risks. This Senior Product Manager role is a strategic, high-impact position responsible for defining and executing a core part of Adyen’s Uplift product suite, in the fraud prevention space., focusing on maintaining merchant trust and proactively staying ahead of emerging fraud vectors.

You will take ownership of a major strategic initiative—such as driving ML performance and agility—and translate complex business risks into best-in-class product solutions. You will be measured on tangible outcomes, not just features, ensuring Adyen's risk management capabilities are seamless, transparent, and fundamentally competitive.

What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate on the strategy: Actively collaborate and help to drive the multi-year product roadmap for a key strategic pillar within Protect, ensuring alignment with the product vision to empower sustainable growth through intelligent risk adaptation.
  • Drive strategic initiatives: Lead one or more of Adyen’s key fraud prevention initiatives, regarding Machine Learning and risk mitigation.
  • Stakeholder Leadership: Act as the internal champion for your product area, collaborating across commercial, development, legal, and operational teams to ensure seamless product delivery and alignment.
  • Global Merchant Success: Maintain a "Merchant trust is paramount" focus. Gather market intelligence, customer feedback, and competitive analysis to ensure your product delivers a superior, high-control fraud management experience that minimizes the total cost of fraud for our global customer base.

Who You Are

  • Experience & leadership: 5+ years of experience in Product Management, with a strong track record of leading cross-functional teams and delivering impactful results, preferably in a global environment.
  • Domain Expertise: Deep domain knowledge in Risk Management, Fraud Prevention, or Fintech/Payments. Experience working with large-scale transactional data, machine learning models, and behavioral risk signals is highly desirable.
  • Strategic acumen: Proven experience in developing multi-year product strategies and translating them into clear, prioritized roadmaps that align with critical business objectives.
  • Technical depth: Ability to work closely with sophisticated engineering and data science teams, understand APIs, system architectures, and lead the delivery of technically complex, scalable risk products.
  • Data-Driven focus: Strong analytical and results-oriented mindset, skilled in interpreting granular performance metrics (e.g., by region, industry, or merchant) to drive measurable business outcomes.
  • Exceptional communicator: Ability to articulate complex risk concepts and product rationale clearly to diverse internal and external audiences, including senior leadership and domain experts.
