What’s the mission you’ll drive
Drive the independent evaluation of Addi CF’s Internal Control System , applying a risk-based approach to assess key financial risk areas (credit, market, liquidity) and regulatory compliance with the Superintendencia Financiera de Colombia , ensuring the stability and performance of the platform and reinforcing corporate governance.
What you will do
Complete 100% of assigned audits on time within the Annual Internal Audit Plan by independently evaluating key financial risk areas (market, credit, liquidity, and bank book interest rates), delivering actionable recommendations that management adopts.
Validate the accuracy and integrity of regulatory reports submitted to the Financial Superintendency of Colombia (SFC) and information provided to the Board of Directors, ALCO Committee, and Risk Committee. Identify and escalate material reporting issues early to ensure Addi CF meets submission deadlines and maintains accuracy.
Follow up effectively on audit findings and action plans, ensuring business areas (Front, Middle, and Back Office) remediate findings within defined timeframes and strengthen the Internal Control System (ICS), achieving at least 85% compliance.
Upload 100% of completed working papers to the Internal Audit application before issuing final reports, ensuring documentation integrity and quality.
Review 100% of stress tests performed annually by Addi CF's Risk Management department and submitted to the SFC on time.
What we’re looking for
Proven Internal Audit Expertise in a Regulated Financial Environment:
3–5 years of progressive experience in internal audit, external audit (with emphasis on financial services or banking clients), or financial risk management within banking, financial services, or fintech sectors.
Direct or indirect experience operating in or auditing first and second line of defense areas—including front, middle, and back office functions—at regulated national or international financial institutions.
In-depth knowledge of internal audit principles, methodologies, and standards, plus the risk management framework established by the Superintendencia Financiera de Colombia, specifically the SIAR (Comprehensive Risk Management System) and regulatory reporting requirements for regulated financial institutions.
Knowledge of financial products and their management, including savings accounts, certificates of deposit (CDTs), investment portfolios, and loans.
Outstanding Problem-Solving & Analytical Thinking Capabilities:
Methodically challenging the design and operating effectiveness of controls within the SIAR (Comprehensive Risk Management System) for credit risk models or market risk limits, citing specific SFC regulations.
Demonstrated ability to identify critical control weaknesses, develop practical recommendations that add value, and effectively monitor implementation by Senior Management—strengthening the Internal Control System.
Experience supporting the Internal Audit Manager in preparing and delivering clear, impactful audit reports and presentations to Senior Management (ALCO and Risk Committees) and the Audit Committee.
Regulatory Knowledge & Compliance Acumen:
Proven experience auditing risk management systems (market, credit, liquidity, and bank book interest rates) at entities regulated by the Financial Superintendency of Colombia.
Strong knowledge of regulations applicable to Colombian financial institutions, particularly those governing savings products, investment portfolios, and credit operations relevant to Addi CF.
Strong teamwork orientation with experience applying data analysis and artificial intelligence to audit processes.
Solid Communication & Stakeholder Management Skills:
Communicates audit findings and recommendations clearly and concisely—both verbally and in writing—to diverse audiences, including senior management, process owners, and the Internal Audit Manager.
Builds collaborative relationships while maintaining independence and objectivity.
Manages relationships effectively with process leaders by leveraging experience and presenting arguments grounded in financial sector risk management best practices and regulatory compliance.
Exceptional Ownership & Initiative:
Takes ownership of assigned audit projects according to the Annual Audit Plan, anticipates needs, identifies improvement opportunities, and acts proactively.
Supports colleagues' audits in the Internal Audit area, providing insight into how validation findings impact the entity's risk management.
Proactively identifies emerging risk areas based on industry trends or regulatory changes, proposing additional audits or new approaches to scheduled audits when necessary.
