Actuarial Developer

📋 Description

• Design and build internal pricing service and data models for Python rating engines.
• Actuarial guidance in architecture; 30-40% coding, 60-70% design.
• Collaborate across engineering, pricing, and product to scale pricing platform.
• Individual contributor role; actuarial depth; hx Renew experience helpful.
• Ensure platform serves actuarial and insurance product use cases.

🎯 Requirements

• ACAS progress; 4+ years P&C actuarial exp.
• Production Python: 2+ yrs; stack: EC2, Lambda, FastAPI, pytest, Postgres.
• Experience designing rating engine architectures for commercial lines.
• hx Renew or similar Python-based pricing platform experience (Preferred).
• Data pipelines (ETL/ELT) and data quality tooling.
• Hands-on predictive modeling for insurance pricing (GLMs, etc.).
