Actuarial Analyst

📋 Description

• Assist in developing, pricing, and implementing rating plans for filings with state departments of insurance across commercial lines
• Support rate and form filings through SERFF and related platforms; respond to objections with actuarial justification
• Conduct competitive analysis of rate and form filings using SERFF, S&P Capital IQ Pro, ISO, and regulatory databases
• Manage statutory reporting and bordereaux for reinsurers; ensure accuracy and timeliness
• Write SQL queries to extract data from PostgreSQL for external reporting
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting

🎯 Requirements

• 2-5 years in commercial P&C insurance product analysis, actuarial, or competitive analysis
• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or related field
• Experience with commercial insurance products and data analytics
• Actuarial exams such as P, FM; MAS-I, MAS-II; 5 preferred but not required
• SERFF, ISO/NCCI regulatory tools; SQL; Python (preferred)
• Strong Excel modeling and data manipulation skills
