Overview
Activate Global, Inc is seeking a Director of Communications to lead the organization’s global communications strategy and brand storytelling. This remote role partners with executive leadership to shape messaging, manage media relations, and drive awareness across markets. The Director will build and mentor a communications team, oversee crisis communications, and ensure consistent external and internal communications.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive communications strategy aligned with business goals.
- Lead media outreach, press relations, and proactive storytelling with national and trade outlets.
- Oversee corporate messaging, executive communications, and brand narrative across channels.
- Manage crisis communications and rapid response protocols.
- Collaborate with product, marketing, and operations teams to align messaging.
- Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing communications team; recruit and develop talent.
- Monitor, measure, and report on the impact of communications programs.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive experience in corporate communications, public relations, or related fields; leadership experience preferred.
- Proven track record in media relations and crisis communications.
- Exceptional writing, editing, storytelling, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to develop strategic messaging and executive communications.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams across multiple markets; strong collaboration skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field (master’s preferred).
