Role overview
As a Front-End Platform Engineer at ActBlue, you will contribute to the front-end platform that powers ActBlue's donor experience and partner applications. You will collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to deliver high-quality, scalable user interfaces and improve the overall front-end platform.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable front-end components and tooling for ActBlue's platform
- Collaborate with designers, product managers, and backend engineers to deliver robust UI solutions
- Focus on performance, accessibility, and maintainability across web applications
- Contribute to design systems and shared UI components
- Write tests, participate in code reviews, and contribute to CI/CD workflows
Requirements
- 3+ years of front-end development experience
- Strong proficiency with JavaScript/TypeScript and React (or similar modern framework)
- Solid knowledge of HTML/CSS, responsive design, and accessibility best practices
- Familiarity with web performance optimization and modern front-end tooling
- Experience with version control (Git) and collaborative development workflows
Nice-to-have
- Experience with design systems or component libraries
- Testing experience (e.g., Jest, Testing Library)
- Exposure to backend/API integration
