Acquisition.com is on a mission to make real world business education available to everyone.

At Acquisition.com, we don’t just hire for open roles—we hire for impact. If you’re exceptional at what you do and align with our core values: competitive greatness, sincere candor, and unimpeachable character, we want to know you.

Role:

At Acquisition.com, we believe that people are the driving force behind our success. As we continue to grow, we’re investing in our People Operations function to deliver exceptional employee experiences while driving operational excellence through systems, data, and process optimization.

We’re looking for a People Operations Generalist to take ownership of our HR technology, data management, employee lifecycle processes, and benefits administration, with a critical focus on supporting our upcoming transition off of the PEO model. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves working with systems and data, thrives on creating efficiency, and is passionate about building scalable, people-centric processes from the ground up.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring that our HRIS runs seamlessly, our people data is accurate and actionable, and our team members have positive experiences throughout their lifecycle while helping us operationalize the shift to a standalone HR infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

Benefits, Leave & Compliance

  • Administer employee benefits programs (health, dental, vision, 401(k), perks, wellness, financial, etc.) and serve as the primary point of contact for employees.

  • Manage open enrollment and ensure benefit plan compliance with brokers.

  • Partner with finance to reconcile benefits invoices and ensure accuracy in payroll deductions.

  • Supper leaves of absence and accommodations in accordance with applicable laws (FMLA, ADA, COBRA, ACA).

  • Maintain compliance with all employment regulations across multiple states, including Nevada, California, and Colorado.

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws, including FMLA, ADA, COBRA, and ACA regulations.

People Systems & Data Management (HRIS)

  • Own our HRIS and people systems—maintain accurate records, troubleshoot issues, and continuously improve the employee experience.

  • Ensure data integrity across systems, conduct regular audits, compliance filings, and internal reporting.

  • Develop and maintain SOPs for key People Ops processes.

  • Partner with finance to ensure system integration and alignment.

  • Support the implementation of non-PEO systems for HR, payroll, and benefits as needed.

Reporting & Insights

  • Track and report on key HR metrics (benefits utilization, headcount trends, turnover, compliance).

  • Provide data-backed insights that support strategic decision-making and operational improvements.

  • Support leaders with people dashboards and tools that drive accountability and clarity.

Employee Lifecycle

  • Manage the end-to-end onboarding experience, ensuring new hires have a smooth transition into the company and are set up for success.

  • Continuously refine and improve onboarding and offboarding workflows to increase efficiency and employee satisfaction.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure onboarding and offboarding processes align with business needs.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years in People Operations, HRIS administration, or related HR support roles, with experience managing benefits, compliance, and systems

  • Hands-on experience with HRIS systems (e.g., HiBob, Lattice) and data management.

  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a process-oriented mindset.

  • Familiarity with multi-state employment law compliance.

  • Ability to work cross-functionally with finance, IT, and legal teams.

  • Experience supporting a transition away from a PEO or similar systems shift strongly preferred.

Preferred

  • Experience in a high-growth, fast-paced startup or private equity-backed company.

  • Background in implementing HR automations and improving system integration.

  • Knowledge of ADP, Paylocity and other payroll software.

  • Strong project management skills and the ability to drive initiatives from start to finish.

  • Data dashboarding and analytics experience.

Results:

  • PEO Transition Completion: Successful handoff of all core HR functions with minimal disruption to business operations and employee experience.

  • Benefits Accuracy: 98%+ accuracy in enrollments, deductions, and compliance

  • Onboarding Satisfaction: Positive feedback from 95%+ of new hires

  • Compliance: 100% adherence to all employment laws and regulations

  • Data Integrity: 99% accuracy in employee records and reporting

  • Process Efficiency: reduction in manual work by 40%+ through automation

  • Payroll Alignment: No discrepancies between HR and finance data

Location:

  • Las Vegas, NV (Onsite)

Compensation:

  • $76,000-$95,000 base salary based on years of experience

  • The salary range may be inclusive of several levels that would be applicable to the position. Final salary will be based on a number of factors including, level, relevant prior experience, skills, and expertise. This range is only inclusive of base salary, not benefits (more details below).

Relocation Assistance:

  • We know that great talent comes from all over, so we're here to help you make the move. For this role, we offer:

  • IC-level positions: $5,000–$7,000 in relocation support (capped at $7,000).

Benefits:

  • Flexible Time off Policy and Company-wide Holidays

  • Health Insurance options including Medical, Dental, Vision

  • 401k offering for Traditional and Roth accounts with an employer match
