Product Design Researcher

Job Description

Acquia is looking for a Product Design Researcher to join our remote-friendly team. In this role, you will partner with product designers, product managers, and engineers to plan and conduct user research that informs product direction and design decisions. You will recruit participants, run interviews and usability studies, analyze qualitative data, synthesize insights, and present clear, actionable recommendations to cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute user research studies (interviews, usability tests, surveys, and field studies) to validate product concepts and features.
• Recruit participants and manage research logistics for remote and in-person studies as needed.
• Synthesize findings into actionable deliverables such as personas, journey maps, and experience briefs.
• Communicate insights and recommendations to design, product, and engineering teams to influence product direction.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure user needs are reflected in roadmaps and UI/UX decisions.

Requirements

• 3+ years of UX research or product design research experience.
• Strong qualitative research skills and the ability to translate insights into actionable design recommendations.
• Experience conducting remote usability testing and participant recruitment.
• Proficiency with design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma).
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills; ability to influence across teams.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
