Overview
AccuWeather is seeking a Director, Advertising Sales to lead the growth and strategic direction of our advertising revenue in the US market. Based in New York, you will lead a high-performing sales team, shape advertiser partnerships, and collaborate with marketing, product, and sales leadership to deliver compelling media solutions for advertisers.
Responsibilities
- Build and execute a strategic sales plan to grow advertising revenue across direct and programmatic channels.
- Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing advertising sales team in New York.
- Develop and manage relationships with large advertisers and agency partners.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and editorial teams to create effective sponsorships and campaigns.
- Monitor market trends and competitive landscape to identify new revenue opportunities.
- Forecast and manage a robust sales pipeline and reporting metrics.
Qualifications
- Typically 10+ years of experience in advertising sales or media sponsorships.
- Proven track record of achieving revenue growth and managing client relationships at the executive level.
- Strong leadership & communication skills; ability to mentor a team and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with digital, programmatic, and direct sales strategies.
