- Lead a team of 3 across bookkeeping, collections, and financial operations.
- Own property accounting: owner payments, reconciliations, and balance sheet controls.
- Drive collections and delinquency; own the process and improve outcomes.
- Support and develop your team; coach on accounting fundamentals.
- Partner cross-functionally with Customer Success, Engineering/Product, and Finance.
- Get hands dirty: run paydays and balance sheet checks as needed.
🎯 Requirements
- 4+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience, with 1-2 years managing people
- Strong general ledger fluency; trace transactions, reconcile accounts
- Experience with multiple bank accounts and money movement
- Operational accounting experience with end-to-end ownership
- People management skills; held teams accountable
- Detail-oriented; startup environment
- Strong communicator translating accounting concepts for non-accountants
- Nice to have: property/real estate tech background (AppFolio, Buildium, Yardi)
- Nice to have: marketplace/fintech experience (money in, money out, fees)
- Nice to have: collections or delinquency management experience
- Nice to have: QuickBooks, BILL, Stripe or similar
- Nice to have: familiarity with AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT)
