📋 Description

• Own the internal controls framework; design and maintain SOX 404 and SOC 1.
• Embed safeguards in workflows; partner with engineering/product on RBAC and audit trails.
• Lead AI governance: model oversight, data provenance, and ethics with Legal/Security.
• Provide accounting input to guide product and operating decisions.
• Monitor regulatory changes and refresh frameworks proactively.

🎯 Requirements

• 5–7 years total experience; 3–4+ years in accounting or internal audit.
• Solid grounding in US GAAP accounting.
• Strong communicator; influence cross-functional teams and leadership.
• Willing to work in person at NYC HQ 4–5 days/week.
• Preferred: ownership of SOX 404 or SOC 1 programs in tech/software.
• Proven ability to scale controls into system/process enhancements.
• Familiarity with AI governance, model risk, or data privacy regulations.
• Professional certifications such as CPA, CIA, CISA preferred.
