Accounting Director

📋 Description

• Lead accounting team (Manager + Senior Accountants) with empathy-first leadership.
• Partner with the co-Director of Accounting to own corporate accounting and close cycles.
• Oversee accounting for ~12 subsidiaries, intercompany eliminations, and multi-currency translations.
• Drive continuous improvement and AI-driven automation (Claude Cowork/Code) across the function.
• Ensure general ledger integrity; collaborate on system configurations, COA maintenance, and master data governance in NetSuite.
• Design and implement robust internal controls over financial reporting (SOX) with proactive remediation.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA highly preferred.
• 10+ years progressive accounting experience, including pre-IPO/high-growth and public company.
• Experience managing accounting across multiple legal entities, intercompany transactions, eliminations, and multi-currency consolidations.
• Strong command of US GAAP, SEC reporting, and SOX/internal controls.
• Experience with NetSuite and Ramp; Claude Cowork/Code preferred.
• Exceptional communication skills; translate complex financial information for senior leadership.
