Accountant

📋 Description

• Help manage projects to improve accounting processes and automate journal entries.
• Develop, document, and implement key accounting policies and internal controls.
• Oversee day-to-day accounting for Parafin and its subsidiaries.
• Drive automation initiatives with engineering to create tech solutions for processes.
• Own parts of the month-end close, including entries and reconciliations.
• Own preparation of monthly/quarterly/annual financial reporting package.

🎯 Requirements

• Foundational understanding of US GAAP for lending and tech companies.
• Ability to leverage AI-powered tools (e.g., Claude) to drive scalable accounting solutions.
• Growth mindset, ownership of projects, and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication with both technical and nontechnical partners.
• Experience with data analysis tools such as SQL / Python / Looker or willingness to learn.
• Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP (preferred).
