Overview

ThoughtWorks is seeking a Principal Consultant: Service Delivery Manager for the APAC region (CN) to lead client delivery across multiple engagements from Beijing. This senior role combines delivery leadership, strategic account management, and cross-functional collaboration to drive value for clients while guiding and mentoring delivery teams within a global consultancy environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end service delivery for assigned APAC/CN engagements, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery with high-quality outcomes.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships; translate business objectives into actionable delivery plans.
• Define and govern project scope, timelines, budgets, risk management, and change control processes.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Engagement Management teams to align delivery with client goals.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards, governance, and regulatory/compliance requirements; monitor performance metrics and SLAs.
• Develop proposals, statements of work, and scope changes; contribute to revenue growth and account profitability.
• Mentor and coach junior consultants; help grow ThoughtWorks APAC delivery capabilities.
• Represent ThoughtWorks in regional forums and client-facing discussions; share best practices and thought leadership.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of management consulting or project delivery experience in technology.
• Proven track record delivering complex software projects for enterprise clients.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
• Certifications such as PMP/Prince2/PMI-ACP or equivalent; solid experience with Agile practices (Scrum, SAFe).
• Ability to work across APAC time zones; willingness to travel as needed; Mandarin and English fluency preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.
