About the role
- Lead the delivery of Abacum onboarding projects, ensuring they meet client objectives and deadlines
- Develop project charters, plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations based on client requirements and business goals.
- Manage project scope, risks, and change control processes to keep projects on track.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with client stakeholders, acting as their trusted advisor throughout the implementation, providing recommendations on improvements for their processes as part of the transformation
- Coordinate internal technical, product, and support teams to deliver seamless, high-quality solutions.
- Master our software in order to act as an unblocker for the team when faced with hurdles on the platform or financial/business concept.
- Proactively identify and resolve issues, and escalate as necessary.
- Communicate clearly and regularly with internal and external stakeholders regarding progress, risks, and achievements.
- Contribute to improving implementation processes, templates, and best practices.
- Provide informal guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 4–7 years of experience managing consulting, software implementation, or business transformation projects — bonus points for exposure to technology-driven projects in finance or operations.
- Solid understanding of financial planning and analysis (FP&A) processes and terminology.
- Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects with both platform and business deliverables.
- Familiarity with implementation of financial software (e.g., budgeting, forecasting, planning, ERP, or related platforms) is a strong plus.
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Smartsheet, MS Project, Asana) and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid).
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills; client-facing experience is essential.
- Relevant certifications (PMP, CSM, PRINCE2, etc.) are a plus.
* Candidates with management consulting experience delivering finance-related technology or process improvement projects are encouraged to apply.
Nice to have skills
- Experience implementing specific financial tools or platforms (e.g., Anaplan, Adaptive Insights, Oracle Netsuite, Workday Adaptive Planning, or similar).
- Knowledge of financial reporting, consolidation, or analytics software ecosystems.
- Familiarity with data integration concepts, ETL processes, and working with large financial datasets.
- Exposure to change management principles and practices in technology-driven transformations.
- Previous experience delivering projects in regulated industries (e.g., financial services, healthcare).
- Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling or scenario planning.
- Ability to facilitate workshops and train end-users on financial planning systems.
- Fluency in a second language is a plus for global projects.
