About 9fin
The world's largest asset class, debt, operates with the worst data.
Technology has revolutionized equity markets with electronic trading, quant algos and instantaneous news. However, in debt capital markets, the picture is completely different. It still behaves like it’s in the 1980s; trillions of dollars of trades are placed over the phone, news is slow, and corporate credit information is imperfect and scattered.
Our mission is to change this.
9fin's proprietary technology delivers fast and comprehensive financial, credit, legal & ESG analysis. Our clients are able to make faster, more informed decisions, win more business and most importantly, save time.
Our fast growing list of clients include 9 of the top 10 Investment Banks, leading Asset Managers, Hedge Funds and Law Firms.
Private 9fin is our newest and most powerful product, designed to bring clarity and structure to some of the most sensitive and complex information in credit markets. It gives clients secure access to confidential issuer documents and information, and integrates them seamlessly into the broader 9fin platform.
This data powers our in-depth covenant analysis, credit research, and proprietary analytics — helping clients move faster, stay compliant, and make smarter decisions.
We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Client Onboarding Manager to join the Private 9fin team. This is a hands-on role focused on ensuring our clients experience a seamless and professional onboarding journey — setting them up for long-term success.
You’ll be the first dedicated client services hire for Private 9fin, owning the full onboarding process from initial setup to go-live. Acting as the bridge between clients and internal teams, you’ll design, implement, and continuously improve the frameworks that make onboarding fast, scalable, compliant, and client-first.
Lead the end-to-end onboarding process for new clients of Private 9fin — from kickoff through to live access.
Guide clients through secure data room access and configuration, ensuring alignment with their internal processes and compliance requirements.
Manage onboarding timelines, proactively identify blockers, and drive resolution across teams.
Design clear training materials, documentation, and client comms to make onboarding repeatable and scalable.
Configure platform permissions and access settings in line with 9fin’s strict security and compliance policies.
Maintain accurate records of client configurations, document permissions, and compliance status.
Act as the primary point of contact during onboarding — providing responsive, hands-on support and guidance.
Deliver client training sessions and product walk-throughs to ensure confident adoption.
Act as the voice of the client and ensure feedback arrives through the correct 9fin channels for future iteration.
Collaborate with Sales, Product, Engineering, Credit, and DataOps teams to ensure client setups are accurate and complete.
Run weekly core team check-ins to align on priorities, dependencies, and blockers.
Coordinate with Sales and Account Management to ensure a smooth transition from onboarding to steady-state client success.
Relay client feedback to internal teams to continuously improve user experience and operational workflows.
Maintain a centralised tracker monitoring all onboarding projects and client statuses (signed, onboarding, live).
Own onboarding reporting and governance, including progress updates, resourcing summaries, and leadership reporting.
Oversee operational readiness and compliance processes in partnership with client compliance teams.
Build and refine repeatable onboarding frameworks, playbooks, and process documentation.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce manual steps, and enhance the client experience.
Support strategic growth initiatives, including US expansion and scaling for increased client volumes.
You’re an organised, proactive relationship-builder who thrives in client-facing environments and enjoys solving complex operational problems. You combine empathy for clients with a drive for structure and process excellence.
You’ll likely have:
Experience in onboarding, implementation, or account management, ideally within SaaS, fintech, or financial data services.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
Excellent project management capabilities — you stay ahead of timelines, manage dependencies, and deliver results.
A technical mindset — comfortable with tools, systems, and troubleshooting user access or data flow issues.
High attention to detail and an understanding of compliance or access-controlled workflows.
Familiarity with CRM systems, document management tools, and security best practices.
Experience or interest in financial services or legal documentation workflows, a plus.
We’re a scaling start up, and we enjoy sharing our success, when the company succeeds, we always reinvest that in our people. We also offer huge amounts of responsibility, an abundance of opportunity for growth and a platform to truly excel.
