Staff Security Engineer, Vulnerability Operations

6sense is seeking a Staff Security Engineer to lead vulnerability operations, owning the end-to-end vulnerability management lifecycle and collaborating with product and engineering teams to identify, prioritize, and remediate security weaknesses across cloud and on-prem environments. You will design, implement, and maintain tooling for scanning, triage, and remediation, drive incident response for vulnerability exploits, and help shape security standards, metrics, and reporting across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end vulnerability management lifecycle from discovery to remediation.

• Collaborate with software engineers, product teams, and security engineers to prioritize fixes based on risk.
\n
• Design and operate vulnerability scanning tools (SCA/DAST/IAST) and CI/CD security gates.
\n
• Develop dashboards and metrics to communicate risk to leadership.
\n
• Lead incident response activities for critical vulnerabilities.
\n
• Mentor and coach junior security engineers to grow the team\'s capabilities.
\n

Qualifications

\n
• 5+ years of experience in security engineering, vulnerability management, or a related field.
\n
• Strong knowledge of vulnerability assessment tools, patch management processes, and remediation workflows.
\n
• Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP), container security, and CI/CD security practices.
\n
• Familiarity with risk assessment, threat modeling, incident response, and security best practices.
\n
• Excellent cross-functional communication and ability to influence engineering teams.
\n
