Overview of Role66degrees is seeking a skilled Senior Python Middleware Developer – AI AgentEnablement with 5 to 8 years of experience. In this role, you will play a critical part indesigning and implementing high-performance middleware components that connectfront-end applications with backend services, AI/ML models, and databases. You willwork on building scalable microservices, enabling seamless integration with AI agents,and ensuring optimal performance in enterprise-scale environments.

Responsibilities● Design and develop middleware services to bridge front-end systems, backendservices, AI/ML models, and data sources.● Build and manage scalable microservices using Python frameworks such as FastAPI,Flask, or Django.● Develop APIs and orchestration layers to process, transform, and route dataefficiently.● Integrate AI agents, inference endpoints, and third-party APIs into middlewarepipelines.● Ensure middleware reliability, low latency, and performance optimization.● Manage inter-service communication via REST, gRPC, WebSockets, or messagingsystems like Kafka.● Collaborate with DevOps on CI/CD pipelines, logging, monitoring, and containerizeddeployments (Docker/Kubernetes).● Maintain high-quality documentation and coding standards for reusable, scalablesolutions.

Qualifications● 5–8 years of experience in Python programming with strong middleware and APIdevelopment expertise.● Proficient in FastAPI, Flask, or Django frameworks.● Hands-on experience in middleware concerns: logging, error handling, requestvalidation, and security.● Strong understanding of RESTful architecture, API gateway design, andauthentication mechanisms (OAuth2, JWT, API Keys).● Experience with asynchronous programming (asyncio, aiohttp) and event-drivensystems (Kafka, RabbitMQ).● Hands-on experience with Docker and working knowledge of Kubernetes.● Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) for scalable deployments.● Knowledge of AI/ML model serving and integration pipelines (preferred).

Nice to Have● Experience with LLM-based AI agents, LangChain, or vector databases.● Exposure to observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.● Familiarity with enterprise integration platforms or workflow engines (e.g., Airflow,Temporal).
