Overview of Role

A client of 66degrees’ is seeking a consultant to engage on a 6 month remote contract with the potential to extend/convert. Interested candidates should have the following required skills and the ability to work independently as well as within a team environment. 

The Information Security Support Helpdesk Contractor will function as a member of the Security Support team and help support Security helpdesk operations. This role will focus on frontline duties and interact with technical and business units. This role requires mid-level Active Directory and Azure MFA experience and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • Interface with the technical and business user community to support incoming security requests and tickets submitted by users.
  • Contribute to protecting the integrity and confidentiality of clients data and infrastructure while enabling business functionality in all systems and environments by validating user identities prior to assistance.
  • Assist in supporting the Identity Access Management team.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Provide Level I Support for user password resets and MFA onboarding, resets, and troubleshooting.
  • Communicate with stakeholders to assist in remediation efforts.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in discipline appropriate to assignment or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 1 years’ experience in an Information Security role or experience in an IT helpdesk capacity.
  • Experience working with Active Directory and MS EntraID.
  • Fundamental knowledge of information security principles and best practices.
  • Must have a desire to learn and adapt in a corporate environment.
  • Must have strong self-starter skills and a willingness to collaborate within a team environment.
  • Strong research and problem-solving skills.
  • Must have strong communication skills.
  • Must have a basic understanding of information security principles, network protocols, and security technologies.
