Veterinary Technician

Overview

Mooresville Animal Hospital is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Technician to support our General Practice team in Mooresville, North Carolina. This on-site role provides opportunities to work closely with a compassionate veterinary team and help animals and their owners.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during exams and procedures
• Perform basic nursing tasks and monitor patient welfare
• Collect samples (blood, urine, feces) and prepare for analysis
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed
• Monitor anesthesia and recovery during surgical procedures
• Take and process radiographs (x-rays) and assist with dental radiographs
• Perform dental cleanings and basic dental care tasks
• Educate clients on pet care, nutrition, and at-home medicine administration
• Maintain clean, organized examination and treatment areas

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; veterinary technician certification/licensure preferred
• Prior experience in a veterinary hospital
• Ability to lift and restrain animals; ability to stand for extended periods
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to compassionate patient care and client service
