Overview

2U is seeking a Senior Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) who will lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, while driving strategic special projects that advance company performance. You will partner with cross-functional teams to build robust financial models, deliver actionable insights, and present scenarios to senior leadership. This role requires strong analytical ability, excellent communication, and the skill to translate data into clear recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the annual budgeting process and monthly/quarterly forecast updates.
• Build and maintain financial models to evaluate strategic initiatives and performance.
• Develop dashboards and management reports to monitor key performance indicators.
• Collaborate with operations, sales, product, and other stakeholders to drive performance improvements.
• Present findings, scenarios, and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Drive and manage strategic special projects from scoping to execution and post-implementation review.
• Ensure financial processes and controls align with company policy and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or professional designation (CFA/CMA) a plus.
• 7+ years of FP&A or related analytical experience; experience in higher education or tech sectors is a plus.
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with SQL and BI tools (Power BI/Tableau).
• Strong analytical, communication, and storytelling abilities; ability to influence cross-functionally.
• Experience with financial systems/ERP (e.g., NetSuite, SAP) is a plus.
